Below are some photos of our new Tree Top Flyers headquarters building ... from start to finish! First, we begin with a photo taken just before our club fish fry in September, 2002 ... before the land was cleared. The front of the building is now positioned about where you see the tractor disc and tree to the left and rear of that rubbish pile. Here, the concrete floor has been poured .. and the stud walls are up (shown from rear). Then, with the trusses in place ... looking better, hey?! The roof goes on! What a job! However, the day cooperated perfectly with cloudy skies and cooler temperatures ... and the rain held off. A number of folks showed up to help ... Clint, James (friend of Clint's), Jim, Troy, Karl, Leon, Bruce, Mark, Randy. Karl and Vickie brought food for the hungry crew. This photo was taken on August 30, 2003. We've made tremendous progress! The very attractive sign (by Leon Strock and Trojan Signs) really sets it off ... don't you think?! All of this has been accomplished since May of 2003! And here's how it appears to date ... in December of 2003 ... with window panels in place. This is the configuration we use in the cool months of the year (November-February). During those warm days and cool nights (March-April, September-October), we can lift the window panels and hook them to the ceiling .. or during the warmest months (May-August), we can take them down entirely. Obviously, we are very proud of our new
headquarters! |
