Ron Lindsey is a retired teacher. He served as an Army Master Warrant Officer flying helicopters and served in Korea.  He also flew a very nice 1966 Cherokee 140 aircraft for many years in the local area.

Unfortunately, Ron suffered a major heart attack in late 2003 and had to have extensive heart bypass surgery. He was a very sick man for awhile, but we are very happy to report that Ron has made a miraculous recovery and is now doing very well.

As soon as he recovered, Ron was "chomping at the bit" to fly again, so he ordered this Slipstream Genesis with Verner 4-cycle engine. He took delivery of the aircraft on April 3, 2004.  In the photo above, he is shown with his new beauty only minutes after its arrival.

The Genesis was flown in from Wisconsin on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3, 2004, by Slip Stream CEO Mike Puhl. Below, Ron (left) poses with Mike (right) after Mike's long 2-day flight from Wisconsin!  We know for sure that it's a cross country machine!!

Above, Ron breaks ground ... with Mike Puhl in the copilot's seat. Mike gave Ron a checkout in the Genesis.

Ron and Mike do a fly-by.

Above, one of a half dozen or so landings that evening.

Above, Ron and Mike taxi in after several circuits of the airport.  It was a very satisfying day for Ron and all of those on hand for the occasion.

We congratulate Ron and hope that he will enjoy his beauty ... and we'll enjoy flying with him in the future.

P.S. Ron is also a Creedence Clearwater Revival fan ... hence the background music "Lodi"
