Hi ... my name is Randy Berry (aka
"Bassman"). I'd like to personally welcome you to this
website; I serve as
webmaster here. I am also proud to serve again as president of the Tree Top
Flyers for 2005 ... as well as for the past few years.

Above, me and my Kolb
Firestar KXP plane at a flying event in June, 2004.

A
series of photos of me and my plane ...
beginning with the one above of my
takeoff run at Whisper Field.

A view from my cockpit in flight.
Here's one I took over nearby Lake Murray. We had flown into Shealy's airstrip there for some fellowship and lunch with other light aircraft enthusiasts. If you look closely off to the left, you can just barely see "a dot" just above the horizon ...
that's Jim and Chris! Wow ... what a great trip!

Jim
Summers took this photo of me on a cross country in May, 2002. Here, you get the
sensation of altitude which I experience when
flying.

And
here's my personal favorite ... a close up photo of me and my plane in flight ... also taken by Jim.
What a wonderful feeling of freedom!

Cooking chicken bog for a club
meeting on May 16, 2004 ... and the day after our trip down to Holly Hill.

Here's my wife, Libby ... shown helping me to prepare the meal on
May 16th, 2004. Also, you can get an idea of what our clubhouse is like on the
inside ... after
it's completion.

I also have an interest in rotorcraft. In
fact, the first aircraft I ever flew was a Bensen gyrocopter back in 1973. I have recently been elected
vice-president of the Georgia-Carolina Rotorcraft Club (PRA13) for 2005. I currently own
a RAF gyroplane kit and still own the (presently engineless) Bensen gyrocopter,
which I intend to get operational "some day". The elected officers
of PRA13 for 2005 (shown left to right above) are: Ron Awad, president; Randy
Berry, vice-president; John Magnan, secretary; Ray Pierce, treasurer.
