Mark Williams has been diligently working on his XAIR "F series" plane since the fall of 2002.  Here, he is shown trying to install the pitot tube, but it didn't want to cooperate. He experienced some "problems" back in February, 2004. The engine had to be returned to the overseas factory for repairs. After some wrangling with the engine manufacturer, the engine has been repaired and installed on his plane again as of late September, 2004.  He hopes to be flying again in the fall of 2004.

Above is another photo of Mark's plane ... showing more of the plane from a distance.  He now has his own hangar at Whisper Field.

Mark's Simonini 92hp engine above with Warp Drive prop ... quite a beauty, don't you think?

Mark gets in some taxi time above ... with Troy White along for the ride.  Only a little more tweaking left to be done.  She's looking great!

And coming back down the runway ... in fast taxi mode!

Mark has been training with Jim Summers, BFI, for quite some time. Above, Mark (nearest camera) and Jim had just come in from a training flight.

Lynn Williams, Mark's wife, is shown above with Mark at our September, 2003 meeting.
